When an employee at Main Street Mercantile in Aurora went to check a price on an antique knife for a customer, never did they believe it was part of a scheme to steal from the store. But that is exactly what Pete Marcellais a deputy assigned by the Sheriff's Office to the City of Aurora has learned from his investigation.
On April 6th at around 1:30 p.m., the male pictured sent the clerk on an errand then broke the locks, reached into a trophy case and stole three civil war era pistols valued at more than $5,000.00. The male appears to be white, in his forties, heavy set, 5'10" to 6'00" tall, brown hair and wearing an Ohio State Buckeyes hat.
