On Monday, May 4th at about 7:30 p.m., an alert Deputy Sheriff spotted a suspect he knew to be wanted by the Redmond Police Department. David Mills, age 36, was walking in the 2800 block of Lancaster Drive NE, when he was recognized by Deputy Matt Higgins.
Deputy Higgins immediately called for backup and Mr. Mills was arrested without incident. After his arrest Mr. Mills was found to be in possession of just over ?1/2 ounce of methamphetamine, a scale and packaging. Mr. Mills is currently being held at the Marion County Jail on the charges of unlawful possession and delivery of methamphetamine.

Redmond, OR - On Saturday, May 2nd, 2015 at approximately 9:25pm, Officers from the Redmond Police Department were dispatched to the area of SW 11th Street and SW Indian Ave on an alleged dispute involving a firearm and possible shots fired. Officers arrived and discovered there were no injuries and began contacting witnesses and involved person during the investigation.
Information obtained revealed there was an alleged verbal dispute between one male and a small group of other males. During the dispute a firearm was allegedly produced and used to assault a victim, in the process, the firearm discharged. Another shot was reportedly fired towards the small group of males as they fled.
The suspect was identified as David Alan Mills. Information was developed indicating he had left the Redmond area the night of this incident, possibly going to Salem.
On 05/04/2015 the Marion County Sheriff's Office located David Alan Mills in the Salem area and he was arrested on a drug crime which allegedly occurred in Marion County. David Alan Mills is currently at the Marion County Sheriff's Office Jail in Salem.
This case has been forwarded to the Deschutes County DA's Office for charging.
