Specially trained Marion County Deputies will begin patrolling the McCoy Creek Snowmobile Area this winter. Deputies will be riding snowmobiles and watching for visitors who are operating vehicles under the influence and violating other laws like operating a motor vehicle on a groomed snowmobile trail.
The extra patrols are made possible by a grant from the Oregon State Snowmobile Association. The grant is providing deputies with equipment and overtime for patrols. To report a crime in the McCoy Creek Snowmobile area please call the Marion County Sheriff's Office at 503-588-5032.
