A two vehicle, head on, crash has closed Silverton Road NE near Lardon Road NE. Deputies are on scene and investigating the crash which took place around 11:00 p.m. this evening. The initial investigation has shown that a red SUV was traveling west on Silverton Road when it collided with an east bound black passenger car.
Both drivers were seriously injured and taken to the Salem Hospital, deputies do believe alcohol played a factor in the crash. Silverton Road is expected to remain closed for the next hour. This story will be updated as more details become available, that time frame is not yet known.
